Boise’s health care system consists of three major hospitals – St. Alphonsus in Boise, St. Luke’s in Boise, and St. Luke’s in Meridian – and many individual specialist practitioners. There are also a few emergency centers run by St. Alphonsus and St. Luke’s that have been recent additions to the areas further away from the hospitals themselves, such as Eagle (the recipient of two emergency centers – one from each hospital).
